From 1 to 6 July 2024, the summer school "The digital transformation of the wine industry and wine tourism" will be held in the Minho region, organised by the University of Minho in collaboration with the CodeAI project - Collaborative development of AI capabilities in SMEs.
The event is coordinated by Professor Isabel Ramos, from the University of Minho, and will be attended by UMinho professors as well as professors from prestigious European universities..

The deadline for applications is 12 May 2024. After a selection process, the candidate will receive confirmation of participation by 17 May. Payment must be made by 26 May.

The Summer School under the theme “Digital Strategies for Internationalization” took place between the 4th to the 10th of September 2016.
This course aimed to develop skills to define and implement digital strategies that favor the internationalization of organizations (public, private or civil society). In this course, Konstanze Alex Brown (Corporate Social and University Influencer Relations Manager at Dell, Texas Tech University), Ari Lightman (Carnegie-Mellon University) and Araci Hack Catapan (Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil) presented concepts and approaches for development of successful online dynamics using social media, gamification, crowdsourcing, online influencers, and smart technologies.
The Tibães Monastery (www.mosteirodetibaes.org), was used as a case study for the practical exploration of the concepts and approaches presented.
The course is aimed at those responsible for marketing, innovation and information systems in organizations. This course is also aimed at researchers (doctoral and postdoctoral).
The course was organized by the Associação Portuguesa de Sistemas de Informação/ Portuguese Chapter of the Association for Information Systems in conjunction with the Doctoral Program in Information Technologies and Systems of the School of Engineering at the University of Minho. It also had the partnership of the Monastery of São Martinho de Tibães, former Mother House of the Portuguese Benedictine Congregation, and heritage assigned to the Regional Directorate for Northern Culture / Ministry of Culture.
The sessions took place at the Information Systems Department of the School of Engineering at the University of Minho, Guimarães, Portugal.
The course was taught in English.
Registrations
Registration for the course costs 300 € / person, which also includes lunches, dinners and coffee breaks during the course period. The amount can be paid by bank transfer or paypal.
The course will only be held if there are a minimum of 25 participants. No more than 30 applications will be accepted. So we ask that you send us your intention to participate by June 30, 2016, by sending an email to (iramos@dsi.uminho.pt) with knowledge to geral@ptais.org.
